Let's see - as of early 2008, my non-Transformer hobbies mainly revolve around getting me fit after more than a decade behind a desk. I have classes in
Pilates, yoga, and tai chi. I'm also doing singing training and guitar lessons, because I was bored and had a couple of free hours.
Drawing-type art is on the backburner for the moment, although I'm reading various theory books. I'm getting back into the general reading habit, am
practising medium-scale finance-fu, and am testing out plans for changing the world (on a small scale, to start with). I'd like to get into general plastic
modelling, but this isn't really the city for cultural fringe hobbies. In the meantime, I randomly strike up conversations with professors, CEOs, and
anyone else that I "shouldn't" bother. I try to find the interesting in everyone. (Except telemarketers.)
I occasionally write, am a killer technical beta (weak on emotional undercurrent, though), and can put together a lyric or two if inspiration strikes. I prowl
around LiveJournal looking for weird topics, and can be found on AIM, ICQ, Yahoo chat, a number of different IRC networks and Usenet groups, as well as several
of the more popular Transformer websites. A G1 fan at heart, I'm more than happy to wrangle about the merits of everything Transformer-related or non. Yes,
that includes slashfic, although so far I've never actually written any.
Apparently my brain has to be doing something or I go crackers. I've blueprinted a transoceanic canal through Mexico, designed a semitrailer that
transforms into a 3200-square-foot house, and am currently memorizing pi while in the shower.
Chat to me about cyberpunk, politics, the meaning of Alpha Trion's beard, plushies, BotCon, why Throttlebots are so cute, love lost and won, the meaning of
human existence, Simpsons quotes, kangaroos, fic, filk, bungee jumping, or the use of the Oxford comma. Everything may be fodder, but it's
interesting fodder.
